AIS warns customers and the public not to fall for scams lurking during the year-end holiday season, when various brands launch marketing campaigns to celebratory shopping and offer discounts and promotions using reward points.
Fraudsters take the opportunity from such moments to deceive in various forms of SMS that impersonate the sender's name (Sender Name), such as mobile phone numbers, agency names, as well as impersonating AIS names by using fraudulent messages to deceive customers. For example, “Your AIS Points are about to expire, don't forget to exchange rewards and attach fake links to press”. To encourage customers who receive SMS to click and redeem points from pressing links to fake websites, enter personal information that may lead to the risk of losing property.
AIS hereby confirms that there is no policy to redeem AIS Points via the link. Checking or redeeming AIS Points must be done through the myAIS application only.
If you find a text message impersonating in such a way, or an abnormality of the contact number or SMS, you can report it through the AIS Spam Report Center hotline 1185 for free, 24 hours a day. AIS will check with the relevant authorities to take further legal action. Be conscious before pressing carefully before transferring. Feel free to be away from cyber threats.
