Sunee Grand Hotel, Ubon Ratchathani, has joined forces to create a new phenomenon at the candle parade in the year 2026, creating the spectacular "Ubon Ratchathani Scented Candle Festival" 4 rounds to elevate the Ubon city's cultural heritage to a new tourism dimension.
Sunee Grand Hotel Ubon Ratchathani, a subsidiary of Progressive Group, joins forces with Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Ubon Ratchathani Office, Ruam Sin Thai Tractor Company (Yanma Ubon), and Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University to create the “Ubon Ratchathani Scented Candle Parade”, an important highlight of the Ubon Ratchathani Candle Parade tradition for the year 2026, to deliver new travel experiences and promote overnight stays for tourists visiting Ubon Ratchathani province.
The specialty of this year's project, Sunee Grand Hotel Ubon Ratchathani, supports the 100,000 baht budget to create a luminous candle procession by assigning the fragrant candle product group, Dej Udom, to create a candle tree of 5 meters long and 2.5 meters wide, conveying the valuable identity of Ubon Ratchathani province through the art of luminous scented candles such as Big God In Pang, Wat Pa Yai, Thammasat Singh Thoen, Butbok, Wat Sawang Mueang Nakhon, Temple of Dhamikaram, Kallapruek Ton Luminous, Wat Sirindhorn, Wararam, Phu Phrao, and Hooptham Pha Tae.and decorated with flowers named for Her Majesty Empress Dowager, all 5 types

Another standout is the “scented candle procession,” which will emit fragrance throughout the procession, creating a new experience that combines art, light, color, and fragrance in one. It is the first time for the Lent Candle Parade that viewers will experience the charm of the Lent Candle in a different and impressive way.
Sunee Grand Hotel also provides a space for the public and tourists to participate in the creation of the historic candle procession through DIY activities. Scented flowers from royal flowers to be decorated on the scented candle procession. The event is open for participation from July 1-15, 2026 at the activity hall, 1st floor, Sunee Tower Shopping Center, Ubon Ratchathani Province.

At the same time, Ruamsin Thai Tractor (Yanma Ubon) and Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University also co-sponsored the “Ubon Ratchathani Srisilp” art and culture show, assembling a grand candle procession to convey the uniqueness and beauty of Ubon Ratchathani to tourists from all over the country.
The “Ubon Ratchathani Srisilp” scented candle parade will be held for a total of 4 rounds from 18.00 hrs. Henceforth, July 29-30, 2026 in the night candle parade and July 31-August 1, 2026 in the Lent Candle Flowing Day event.
