Ubon Ratchathani University Hospital organized the 1st Smart Endoscopy Nurse Conference to open a forum to build academic networks, exchange knowledge and experience, and raise the potential of personnel in research and innovation in gastrointestinal endoscopy to international standards. Associate Professor Dr. Chutinan Prasitphuripreecha, President of Ubon Ratchathani University, chaired the opening of the project and Professor Dr. Songwansin Rattanalert, Dean of the College of Medicine and Public Health.The report, which was attended by more than 200 nurses and practitioners involved in gastrointestinal endoscopy from public and private agencies, was held at NTC 410-411, Nutrition Building, College of Medicine and Public Health, Ubon Ratchathani University on 18-19 October 2025.
Prof. Dr. Songwansin Rattanalert, Dean, College of Medicine and Public HealthHe said that the conference was the first of its kind for Ubon Ratchathani University Hospital in response to medical advances, especially in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy, which is rapidly evolving in terms of technology, tools, equipment, techniques, treatments, and patient care guidelines. As a result, doctors and nurses operating in the endoscopy room need to learn and understand modern technology to optimize patient care to be safe.
Ubon Ratchathani University Hospital recognizes the importance of this, therefore, the Smart Endoscopy Nurse Conference was held to provide a platform for academic networking and knowledge exchange from experts, as well as to encourage nurses working in the endoscopy unit to develop research and innovation capabilities to apply the knowledge gained in quality patient care and international standards.
The conference included special talks, lectures, and workshops. Honored by many qualified speakers such as Dr. Tawee Rattanachuek, Dr. Krirk Suwannakal, Dr. Siriporn Rattanalert, President of the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Nurses Association (Thailand), Prof. Dr. Yongphuwan, Head of the Center for Specialization in Virology, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, and Dr. Aracha Bua Khao, etc., and Work shop activities to exchange knowledge of modern technology.to increase efficiency in patient care.
It is another important step for Ubon Ratchathani University Hospital to improve the quality of healthcare professionals in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy in order to raise the national standard of medical services to truly keep pace with technology and international standards.
