Mr. Phop Phusompong, Deputy Governor and Acting Governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province, along with the head of the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, the Provincial Local Administration Officer, representatives from the Provincial Public Works and Town Planning Office, representatives from the Director of the Regional Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center 13 (Ubon Ratchathani), the District Chief of Mueang Ubon Ratchathani, the District Chief of Warin Chamrap, the Mayor of Chare Mae Municipality, representatives from the Mayor of Ubon Ratchathani City, representatives from the Mayor of Warin Chamrap, a team of government executives, and community leaders, jointly inspected the area to monitor the water situation and assess the risks.by Sub-Lieutenant Montsanga Leelasangam, Head of the Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, along with his staff, coordinated the operation and participated in the field visit.

It was found that in high-risk areas within Ubon Ratchathani Municipality, Warin Chamrap Municipality, and Chare Mae Municipality, there are areas at risk of needing to be evacuated, with areas experiencing standing water awaiting drainage.

In response, the three local authorities have prepared evacuation areas to accommodate communities, villages, and residences should flooding occur. For flooded low-lying areas, operations have been undertaken to block water inflow and urgently pump water out of communities to minimize the impact on residents.
