Nam Yuen District, Ubon Province is preparing to heal those affected by the Thai-Cambodian situation. Initially, the amount is over 1 million 500,000 baht. The affected people are glad to return home and Cambodians are being monitored to prevent security threats.
On 8 August 2025, Mr. Athit Busaba, Sheriff of Nam Yuen, Ubon Ratchathani Province, revealed that after yesterday (7 August 2018), the Thai and Cambodian parties had a positive agreement. The people who migrated to the shelter were glad and hopeful of returning to their homes. However, the province asked the people at the shelter first because they had to wait for officials to inspect the area along the border to be safe to allow the migrants to return to their homes.
As for the remediation in the preliminary Nam Yong district, it was found that over 80 people's houses were damaged. There were minor damage, moderate damage, and damage to the entire house. Today, the assistance committee will hold a meeting to consider helping those affected by the damage to houses and other properties. The advance will be used in the amount of about 1 million 5 hundred thousand baht.
In addition, the administrative staff of Nam Standing District together with the 23rd Huntsman visited the area to inspect more than 10 Cambodians who came to work at a pig farm in the Song sub-district area, a short distance from Chong Anhon. The employer was a resident of Nakhon Ratchasima Province. This group has been working in the area for a long time. They speak Thai and can listen to Thai. Some people have children and study in the area. During the clashes, these Cambodians migrated to shelters in the province. After the collision, it had been calm for several days until now. This group of Cambodians wants to return to the camp in Song Sub-district Pig Farm area. Therefore, officials ask for information and examine the evidence documents of the Cambodians. The group further provides advice to monitor and prevent actions that may affect Thailand's confidence, such as flying drones or other behaviors.
