Mayor of Ubon Ratchathani That said, the Candle Festival in Ubon Ratchathani province is considered an important national cultural heritage that reflects the wisdom, lifestyle and faith in Buddhism, and this year, Ubon Ratchathani Municipality is extremely ready to support and co-host a great event to welcome tourists from all over the country and the world. Ubon Ratchathani Municipality has contributed a total budget of more than 4,239,000 baht to 16 communities to create the Lentana Candle Tree and arrange the Nang Dance Parade to be spectacular.It is worthy of a great tradition at the national level.
In preparation for the event, the municipality was assigned to oversee the decoration of the city, electricity, lighting, site work, candlestick layout, candle parade, and in collaboration with the Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Administration, set up a free amphitheater serving over 5,000 people and tourists. Along with this, it also provides facilitation services in various areas, such as the establishment of a municipal joint directorate, tourist services for both Thais and foreigners, organizing first aid units, organizing the city, maintaining cleanliness, mobile toilet services for tourists.
