In this regard, students of the Faculty of Education, Ubon Ratchathani University were recruited to visit the Buddhist monastery to pray at the shrine around the temple chapel of the Emerald Buddha, which exhilarated and was the highest honor for the faculty and students. The team of students from the Faculty of Education won the gold medal of the Oe Temple Prayer Contest in Thailand for the year 2026, organized by the Department of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Culture, at Wat Kalyanamit Voraviharn.
On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, commended the students from Ubon Ratchathani University who were part of the ancient heritage, royal traditions and good national culture, and the Prime Minister kindly took a commemorative photo with the students and posted it to his personal Facebook page.
Ubon Ratchathani University students also disseminated and exchanged the culture of the temple for foreign tourists, such as Chinese, Spanish, and English, who visited the splendor of the Grand Palace, which received the attention of foreigners in the temple prayer.
